RiskDeckTrade manager and risk control for MetaTrader 5

Simulation · panel preview

Trade fast. Risk handled. RiskDeck handles sizing, execution and your account limits, so the only thing left to decide is the trade.

The plansimulation

Entry, stop, target. Lot, margin, spread and reward are on screen before anything is sent.

About the panel

An execution and risk panel for manual traders on MetaTrader 5.

You set the risk. You place entry, stop and target. RiskDeck works out the lot, sends the order and checks every trade against your account limits, including positions you opened outside the panel.

It doesn't analyse the market and it doesn't trade on its own. The decision is yours.

During the session

From decision to position in a few moves.

01

Set your risk

Percent, an amount in your account currency, or a fixed lot. Quick chips or your own number.

03

Confirm

The button shows exactly what you risk: CONFIRM BUY · $100.00.

05

Blocked before it's sent

When a limit refuses, nothing goes out. The panel says which limit, and what lifts the block.

Place entry, stop and target

Type the prices or drag the lines on the chart. The lot is worked out from your risk and the stop distance.

04

Manage the position

Break-even, a partial or a close, one press each on the position card.

06

Count everything that's open

Positions opened by hand or by other EAs count toward your risk and limits.

When a limit is reached · open positions

The limit holds. The decision stays yours.

Guard · Hold · WatchYou choose how strict your limits are: Watch only tells you, Guard refuses the trades that could end the account and warns first on the rest, Hold refuses at every limit. Every protection layer switches off separately.
Guard: limits that refuse

On Guard, a limit that would end the account refuses new trades. The panel says why, and how the block lifts.

Second Brain asks twice

Optional. Before a risky trade it asks twice and gives the reason. It never refuses.

Second Brainsimulation
Second Brain

A second look before a risky trade.

Second Brain watches how you trade today, not the market. When a plan looks like one you might regret, the first press of CONFIRM doesn't send. An amber frame above the button says why, and the second press sends.

It asks when:

  • a plan starts within 2 minutes of a losing trade;
  • you've already opened 4 trades in the last hour;
  • the plan risks 1.5% of your capital or more;
  • after a loss, the risk is over 1.5 times today's average;
  • the target gives less than 1 R;
  • you add to a position you already hold;
  • you've lost several in a row, once you set how many.

It never refuses a trade and never changes your size. You set every threshold, switch a single check off with 0, or turn Second Brain off with one switch at the top of Settings.

01

At rest

Nothing is open. Today's result, the daily limit and open risk are already counted.

02

Set the risk

Risk per trade in %, $ or lot. Here 1%, which is $100.00.

03

Place the plan

Entry, stop and target. With this stop, 1% comes to 0.19 lot.

04

Plan the exit

Break-even at 0.8R, partials at 1R and 2R. Set before anything is sent.

05

Confirm once

One press on CONFIRM BUY · $100.00 sends the order. Nothing goes out before it.

06

The position is open

It sits on its card: result in $ and in R, break-even, partial and close.

Your stop only moves toward price.
RiskDeck never removes a stop you placed.
If the connection drops, automation waits.
Your stops and targets stay on the server, and levels passed meanwhile are taken once when the connection returns. Manual closes keep working; new trades can’t be sent until it’s back.
Every refusal says why.

No DLLs and no web requests.
Logs and settings stay on your computer.

RiskDeck keeps the record. Tapebook reads it.

RiskDeck writes down the orders it refused, the plans you dropped and the risk you meant to take, in files on your computer. Tapebook imports them next to your MetaTrader 5 history, so your review also sees the trades you didn't take.

Questions

What traders ask before they buy.

How does RiskDeck work out the lot?

From the risk you set and the distance to your stop. The exact amount is on the button before you send, for example CONFIRM BUY · $100.00. The panel and the order that goes to the broker come from the same calculation.

Why is my risk slightly different from what I expected?

Most often the commission. A new install starts with Commission per lot, round turn as not set, and the plan shows Commission not set until you enter your broker’s rate in Settings → Risk. Enter 0 if your account really has no commission. The rate is round turn, opening and closing together: if your broker charges $3.50 per side, enter 7.

My account isn’t in US dollars. Does that matter?

No. Amounts on the panel are shown in your account currency: $ for USD, € for EUR, £ for GBP, ¥ for JPY, and the currency code after the number for any other, for example 1250 PLN.

Can RiskDeck open trades I didn’t ask for?

No. RiskDeck doesn’t analyse the market and never trades on its own. It sends an order only when you press CONFIRM, or a QUICK button you switched on yourself, and it won’t send the same order twice while the broker hasn’t answered. Automation only manages positions you already have: break-even, partial closes and trailing.

Does it send real orders from the first start?

Yes. RiskDeck starts live: CONFIRM sends a real order to your broker. On the first start the panel says so in one line: CONFIRM sends real orders to your broker. To practise first, set Trade gateway to Simulated (F7). With Trade gateway on Simulated - nothing is ever transmitted the panel works as usual, the header shows □ MOCK and nothing reaches your broker. To go back, set it to Live - real orders (still needs arming) and Arm live gateway to true.

What happens when I hit my daily limit? Will it close my positions?

By default, no. RiskDeck refuses new trades and tells you why, with what lifts the block. It also cancels its own pending orders, so none can fill after the breach. Closing positions on a breach is a separate option, Close all on breach, off unless you switch it on. When on, it closes RiskDeck’s positions and your manual ones, and cancels your manual pending orders that exist at that moment. At the daily limit and Open loss that happens once per trading day; at Max loss, once per breach: a Max loss block that lasts several days does not close again the next day. Orders you place by hand after the breach are left alone. It never touches positions or orders of another EA.

How strict is it?

You choose on the Limits dial. Watch warns and never refuses. Guard, the default, refuses what would end the account (daily loss, max loss, open loss) and holds your pace rules; on lighter limits it asks you to confirm. Hold refuses on every limit.

Can I switch the protection off?

Yes, every layer separately: Day guard switches off all account limits, 0 switches off a single limit, and Second Brain and each of its checks switch off in Settings. When protection is weaker than the default, the day bar says so and the mark can’t be dismissed (GUARD OFF, LIMITS WARN ONLY, NO DAILY LIMIT). Order checks (margin, broker minimums, lot steps) always stay on.

Do positions I open outside the panel count?

Yes. Positions opened by hand or by another EA count toward your risk and your limits. A manual position can be taken under RiskDeck’s management with ADOPT, which puts a stop on it first if it has none.

Does it work on a netting account?

Yes. It was built and tested on netting accounts too. When a plan would reduce, close or reverse your open position, RiskDeck says so above CONFIRM before you send.

Can I run RiskDeck on several charts?

Yes, on the same account. One chart manages the positions and the automation; from the others, planning and CONFIRM work as usual. All charts of an account share one settings file, so a change on one reaches the others.

What happens if the chart that manages my positions is closed?

Another RiskDeck chart on that account takes over managing; for the first 30 seconds it only checks the account, then the rules carry on. A daily block set on one chart is kept when any other chart restarts.

When does my trading day start? My prop firm uses a different time zone.

You set the reset hour (Day resets at) and how far your zone is from the broker’s server (Zone vs server). The panel then shows both times. Changing the hour never shortens the current day and never lifts a block.

Do you have presets for prop firms?

No, and we won’t. Firms change their terms, and only you know the current ones. You enter your firm’s rules as numbers (daily loss, max loss, trades a day) and choose what they count from: balance or equity at reset, today’s equity peak, starting capital, the highest end-of-day balance or the highest equity ever. RiskDeck keeps them.
